Recreation Time!


The most effective way to beat boredom is engaging into recreational activities
Come out and discover the happiness that life brings!
Recreation is actually a broad term, it can be classified into a variety of sub units (sports, travel, exercise, food trip, studies, hobbies etc.) which will be emphasized in my next blogs, but for now lets focus on the generality. Recreation is actually an activity for leisure. It's something some people, like me, do to relax and have fun which helps us not just physically but also biologically. It improves our general well-being and minimizes the risk of having illnesses. Mainly, the point of recreation is to add flavor and surprise to our tedious life. Everyday, we work, study and sleep- this is so dull, but with recreational activities we can somehow feel pleasure and relief from stress. I, myself, have proven that recreation is really one of the best stress-relievers in the world. I prefer doing recreational activities with my family and friends than having it alone, because for me, I find it happier when there's someone whom I could have my thoughts and enjoyment shared.

There are two types of Recreation that I do; Indoor Recreation and Outdoor Recreation
  • Indoor Reacreation is a kind of recreation in which the activities are done inside walls. For this, I do activities such as watching TV, movies, reading books, listening to music, playing board games, having pajama parties, customizing used clothing, food trip, engaging in indoor sports, embroidering, creating handcrafted products etc. which can actually brighten up my mood and at the same time develop my weal . These are just easy ways and things to do because you don't need to go out and spend more. As an advice, it's best to do these pastimes with your family, friends or loved ones because it's more fun when you have somebody whom you can share the excitement and laughter. Now, why don't you give it a try! 
Even inside the house, we can still do recreational stuffs!
  • Outdoor Recreation is another kind in which activities are done outside walls, either under the heat of the sun or under the shade of the trees or even at night. I could say that this type requires more energy, preparation and time but gives more amusement. For this, I've tried swimming, outdoor sports, hunting, camping, gardening, wall and mountain climbing, island hopping, carnivals etc. I've always wanted to do canoeing and surfing but I still need to save and find the best place where I could do these, but as what my friends shared, the activities said were also good avocations. 
It's more fun outside. You can do everything you want that can make you enjoy!

DISCLAIMER: Actually, although the the main goal of recreation is leisure, not all recreational activities can be considered healthy and socially justifiable. These interests commonly include  gambling, drinking, smoking etc. Yes, they may be sources of entertainment but definitely are life-shortening, absolutely not  beneficial. As an advice, as much as possible, never be into it because as what my father, as well as my other relatives, said when I told him to stop having these bad habits,"It's hard to escape from your vices, it's very hard to stop. So daughter, please do understand.". I (and you too should) prefer not to be into these stuff and not test my curiosity to have a wholesome life.


Some forms of recreation may be dangerous to the health, take note!
